My Second Pair of These!!

These are easily the most comfortable and attractive hiking boots I've ever owned. They are wide and roomy the leather is attractive the soles are stout and they have a steel shank. They have taken me for many many several-hour-long hikes with no blisters! My first pair of these boots were abused-- I used them to clean dog runs with bleach hiking in mud and snow kicking chain link fences and frozen hoses they were my daily footwear for almost two years while I worked at a dog kennel. They still had a lot of life left in them but I left them outside when it rained and decided it would be best to buy a new pair. My only gripe about these is that they are supposed to be waterproof but they aren't if you're hiking through puddles for more than a couple hours (a little waterprofing treatment would probably fix that problem but I'm lazy). Their feet stay dry!!!

We had some Sorels but the kids' feet kept getting wet. With these their feet are staying dry and the temp raing is -40 degrees instead od -25 degrees. We are very happy.

warm booties

Arrived on time and in good condition. The large size fit snuggly over a size 42 Shimano shoes (which tend to run small). This is good but takes a little bit of time and care to install properly. I have only tried them once on a cold day without rain so I cannot vouch for their water resistance although they look like they will do the job. They did keep my feet warm. More detail ...

Warm but does not stretch...

This is a warm thick workout shirt made by reebok that will serve you well in the cold. Unlike Under Armour that has a good amount of stretch this does not stretch much at all if any. If you wear an XL t-shirt you will need an XL one of these. More detail ...

Best Boots

Bought these for our 7 yr old who loves to play in the snow and go on LONG snowmobile trips with us. It is essential to have excellent winter gear for the little ones more sensitive skin. These boots are by far the BEST we have ever bought. I especially like that the boot rides higher than most keeping snow out as well as the fact the boot is one piece (no zippers ties or openings in the material) so that you can really seal the boot high on leg and prevent ANY snow from entering. We recently went on a 6 hour snowmobile ride (temps low 20's) with our son and his feet stayed warm and dry the entire trip. More detail ...

Really a fancy Desert Boot

Until I opened the package I didn't realize how much this really looks like a fancy Desert Boot - NOT what I would have picked had I been in a store. Also since the material is soft (and not more stiff like the other Rockport products I own) the fit is much looser than I prefer. If the soles of my Ecco boots weren't shot I would have sent these back. They will do until I find something more to my liking. These will work now that it is no longer shorts weather.
